As the school year approaches, convenience, simplicity, and voice are front of mind, for brands and families alike. Here’s how voice search is evolving in 2025, according to Global Web Index analysis.

1. Voice is no longer niche, it’s everyday.
32% of global consumers used a voice assistant in the past week. Tasks? Not just basic commands: 21% use it for searches, 20% for actions like playing music or ordering.

2.Millennials lead, but Gen Z isn’t far behind.
Currently, 34% of Millennials use voice weekly; Gen Z is catching up fast. Voice users are typically urban, tech-savvy, and convenience-driven.

3. Voice meets AI, and they’re stronger together.
Nearly 1 in 3 voice assistant users also used ChatGPT in the past month. These users are 59% more likely to demand seamless integration across apps and services.

4. Voice users move fast, and they buy fast.
Voice users are 33% more likely to have made an online purchase in the last week. They’re 51% more likely to order takeout via delivery apps. Their expectation? Fast, frictionless experiences, like a social media “Buy Now” button.
